Our Team

JAMES FOSTER - OWNER


James had his first career as an army officer and enjoyed global travel and adventure. His time in the army especially commando forces instilled strong values and standards, he has transferred these values into the recruiting business.  


James utilises his leadership, management and people skills to support clients and candidates in the selection process ensuring all hard and soft skills are aligned for each role.  James is a strong communicator with a particular focus on client development and relationship management. Remaining current within the industry is essential and James can routinely be seen in the Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour or at the key annual design events held within the UK and Europe.


James is married to Tara, and they have a son Charles. He is a passionate beekeeper and enjoys water sports and all winter ski disciplines. He is chairman of the local Royal British Legion.

TARA FOSTER - ASSOCIATE 


Tara began her professional journey as a graduate recruiter for British Steel in the 1990s. This experience provided her with valuable insights into the screening and selection processes of large corporations, laying a strong foundation for her future roles in talent acquisition.


In 2004, Tara made a significant career change by retraining as an interior designer. She went on to hold various positions within the luxury industry, including roles at the Managing Director level. 


Since 2016, Tara has been working as a consultant, focusing on helping interiors businesses expand internationally identifying new talent for businesses on a global scale and supporting business growth strategies.


Tara continues her consultancy work while also contributing to the Interiors Recruitment Company as an associate. Her responsibilities include making introductions between clients and candidates, leveraging her extensive network and industry knowledge.


Tara's unique combination of talent expertise, interior design experience, and international business acumen makes her a valuable asset in the interiors recruitment field. Her ability to understand both the creative and business aspects of the industry allows her to make well-informed matches between candidates and companies.


Tara enjoys outdoor activities such as paddle-boarding and Nordic skiing and is involved in charitable work, serving as a poppy appeal coordinator and club secretary for the local Royal British Legion.
